Muskox and Buffalo Hats
What can I say about these Wild Muskox and Buffalo hats other than "WOW! That's Wild!" I have had a ridiculous amount of fun designing and completing these massive wookie hats! There have been three of each species - tow muskox with hooves! and two buffalo where the nose of the buffalo is the bill of the hat! This was the first buffalo hat I'd made and it was a fun learning experience! Buffalo leather is thick! this whole thing is hand sewn and has an inside beaver fur liner. This hat is special because I made it for a customer who hunted this animal in the wild. I really love making something special for someone who has a connection to the hide.
These two hats and loin cloth came from one buffalo cape. Only one hat could get the nose-bill and it was the dark hat, the lighter brown hat has a regular leather bill, and both have wool and beaver fur on the inside. What a fun order! To date this is the only loin cloth I've made.
